The biggest hurdle of implementing EBM in general practice

Paul Glasziou, an important professor of EBM at Bond University in Australia, wrote a BMJ blog (BMJ Clinical Evidence Blog) about the future of EBM.

We can learn a lot of Paul but he forgot to mention the biggest hurdle of implementing EBM, at least in general practice: the lack of studies into how to integrate the skills and the experiential knowledge of the GP with evidence and the preferences of the patient. We don’t even know how to teach that integration process to our GP-trainees. See
